What is an Apostille?
An Apostille is a legal regime of recognition of the legal validity of Ukrainian documents to be used abroad. An Apostille came as an alternative and universal certification procedure for foreign public documents. In contrast to the consular legalization, the Apostille certification requires less time and documents with apostille may be used in more than one country.
If you are going to another country for study, work, or permanent residence, you may need to take with you documents confirming the education that you have obtained in Ukraine. To make your documents valid abroad, they are required to undergo the procedure of consular legalization or affixing an apostille, unless our countries are parties to an agreement abolishing or simplifying the document legalization procedure. For more information, see the section List of Countries recognizing the Apostille.
